Cake Batter Milkshake

I have discovered a new favourite food blog to add to my bookmarks!
She posts delicious healthy versions of recipes, and most are Vegan :) I tried the her Healthy Cake Batter Milkshake, and it was soooo yummy.

She is doing a blog feature in a bit, and that fueled my desire to recreate one of her recipes! So here is my attempt at one, and here is the link to the feature.

Honestly it didn't really taste too much like cake batter. I didn't have any coconut oil, (or so I thought, I found some in the back of my fridge later on that day) so next time I make it I'll be sure to add that.

  1. Hey pretty lady! Sent you an email, so let me know if you didn't get it. LOVE these photos!!! xoxo

  2. Lovely shake, I like it! So colourful and thick.

  3. This looks absolutely delicious, CCKer!

  4. It looks fantastic! I think to get a true cake batter flavor, you'd actually have to add cake mix to the smoothie. I know that Betty Crocker's gluten-free cake mixes are also vegan, so you could try that! I've been on a cake batter kick and have added the cake mix to crispy treats, oatmeal, white chocolate to make cake batter candy, and yesterday I had cake batter french toast for dinner! I'll probably have to break down and make a smoothie with it too, esp since your pics are so tempting!

  5. I found your blog via the CCK feature, but I had to comment on your blog name. I love it! Is it from that OK Go song? Kudos either way and happy baking!

  6. @Veronica Thank you! I just made Katie's chocolate version of this today, changed up the recipe a bit, and it tasted just like chocolate cake batter! Mmmm ;) Oh my gosh cake batter french toast? Sounds to die for!

@Another Lauren Thanks! hahah I had such a hard time thinking of a blog name, so I just searched song lyrics on google that had to do with food, and found this one! I can't remember which song it was though.
