Purple Ombre Cake

I think my favourite type of cake is the one you make for no reason other then wanting to make a cake. This looks like it would be for a special occasion, but nope! I was just in the mood to make a cake, and I thought this one looked absolutely stunning!

The recipe is here, I didn't change much.

For the icing I added half a vanilla bean, and with the leftover icing I made two toned flowers.

I have no idea how she got her layers so thick, mine were tiny!

Oh and I used Wildberry jam for between the layers.
